About Us

Our Brand Story

Vauva began with a simple question: “Why is it so hard to find clothes that feel as gentle as childhood itself"

Founded by Vivian Wong in 2016, Vauva grew out of her love for art, animals, and nature, as well as her curiosity about creating a magical childhood experience. Inspired by Scandinavian art and minimal aesthetics, Vauva evolved from small capsule collections into full seasonal lines. Material exploration became the brand’s heartbeat, evolving from premium cotton to 100% organic cotton and bamboo fabrics, chosen for their softness, breathability, and gentle care for sensitive skin. From its roots in Hong Kong and China, Vauva continues to share thoughtfully made children’s wear across Asia.

  • PRESENT

Vauva was founded with a simple idea: to create gentle, thoughtful clothing made for real childhood.

These years were dedicated to learning and exploration. Vauva spent time studying the kids' fashion world—understanding children’s needs, observing how they move and play, and learning about fabrics, craftsmanship, and responsible production.

The first collection was officially launched.

Vauva joined trade shows for the first time, opening doors to new conversations and partnerships

The first Basic But Not Simple (BBNS) series was introduced, made from 100% organic cotton. Designed for daily wear, it focused on softness, durability, and care for younger skins.

Material exploration continued with bamboo fibers joining the BBNS series, chosen for their breathability, comfort, and lower environmental impact.

Today, Vauva continues to grow with purpose: refining designs, exploring better materials, and staying committed to creating clothes that honor childhood innocence and last beyond one season.

Our Commitment

At Vauva, we make clothes for real childhood, guided by our love for little children and the small, meaningful moments that shape who they become. Clothes that can run, rest, get messy, and still be loved again tomorrow.

Each piece from Vauva is made with care, using thoughtful materials and responsible processes that respect both young skin and the planet. Designed to last beyond trends and seasons, our clothes are meant to be passed down, shared, and filled with stories along the way. We believe children don’t need to grow up faster—they need space to play freely, imagine boldly, and move comfortably.

Our designs honor softness, simplicity, and durability, so children can focus on being children. From sketches to stitches, our commitment is to create clothing that feels good to wear, does good for the planet, and stays part of childhood for as long as possible.
